This clip will make your blood run cold.

A home invasion in rural Arizona. Inside the home are a man, his wife, and their daughter. The armed intruders, dressed as U.S. Marshals, are actually alleged members of the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps, a civilian group self-described as devoted to the security of the southern U.S. border

Listen to the 911 call the woman made to police after she watched the intruders shoot dead her husband and little girl.

I hope these guys are executed for their hate crimes.
Why waste the tax payers money on these human scum?

Rick,

You have to follow up on this story in reference of these minutmen...please

Mutullah Muhammad   June 24th, 2009 11:06 am ET

This is deeper then sadness and was more savage then anything that is happening in Iran now. How can these same "Americans" that did this perform these actions and still criticize other countries for their so-called treatment of their citizens. America was built of immigrants, exiles, and non-citizens (slave or free). People should do their history and find that Americas first president was a member of WASP and an exilee from England. This should never be allowed to happen in this country and I hope that these Terrorists be brought to a swift and just trial!

gmperr   June 24th, 2009 11:33 am ET

Let me get this straight. Aren't these the same people that gather every day during prayer, face Mecca, and chant "Death to America." Were these not the same people that held open celebrations in the streets after Muslim radicals flew our own aircraft into the World Trade Center and killed thousands of Americans? Again aren't they the very same people that ruthlessly behead innocents and celebrate as they hold the lifeless heads up in further celebration? I'm going to say what I think a lot of people in the U.S. are thinking "I really don't care about what happens to any of them." They now have the nerve and unmitigated gaul to turn to us for help? Isn't this the government that they wanted? Aren't we the Infidels that need to die? I'm not without compassion for their innocents but hope that they all get exactly what they deserve and asked for.

William Peakee   June 24th, 2009 12:41 pm ET

A high school coach and teacher was shot and killed this morning in the weight room at the Parkersburg, Iowa high school. Students were present but none were harmed. The un-named perpetrator is in custody.

This community made national news a year ago when a tornado devastated the NE Iowa community.

Kerie   June 24th, 2009 1:19 pm ET

It's like I've been saying, these radical groups that advocate violence in their rhetoric and taking the law into their own hands, need to be listed as domestic terrorists and treated as such. This is sickening.

Rob   June 24th, 2009 3:00 pm ET

Whatever, its just another ploy either by La Raza, Mexican government I mean cartels ha ha, to get our government to make minuteman illegal activity so they can continue their illegal infiltration of our country. Rob Lake,MI

Rob   June 24th, 2009 3:06 pm ET

Sounds to me like a drug deal gone bad...........the accused left the MOM to live while on the phone with the cops, hummmmm.........

All Republicans heaved a sigh of relief as Sanford said it was a WOMAN!

Gary Kuiper   June 24th, 2009 3:19 pm ET

Was Gov Sanford's woman spanish or GERMAN????

oklafan   June 24th, 2009 3:50 pm ET

For God’s Sake! We have people being butchered in the streets of Iran for simply wanting freedom; North Korea ship moving across the ocean with atomic power…I’m a die-hard democrat, but leave the S. Carolina Gov. alone!

Julie   June 24th, 2009 3:52 pm ET

Get real folks... Most men and women have affairs do they admit it??? NNNNOOOOOOO...If you re looking for someone honest Harry Truman is dead unfortunately.... Why is it such a surprise when someone is found to be having an affair with another person not their mate? GET REAL FOLKS

Anita   June 24th, 2009 8:48 pm ET

Governor Sanford's trist is not the issue. The issue is why he did not transfer power of the state while he was gone. The issue is why he lied about his where he was. There is also an issue of him using State money to pay for his indiscretion. If the people of South Carolina want a lying, cheating, thieving adulterer, that is their business.

Honabet   June 24th, 2009 10:11 pm ET

To gmperr...I seriously doubt these were "the same people."Because of the Iraq-iran war the majority of men in Iran are now under 30 years old. And don't forget that just as we are nowing seeing only what Iran's repressive state government is allowing us to see, that's what we saw after 9/11. I have felt the way you do but it doesn't resolve anything. There are now Americans vacationing in Hanoi.
How outrageous is that? And we can go back – to Japan, to Germany.
I guess my point is really that all this violence and hatred is useless.
Outrageous is the oly word I think ofl. All the dead, the maimed,
he families destroyed – to what end?

Trevor   June 25th, 2009 11:25 am ET

The Iranian Ambassador from Mexico says that his country's police are "justified" in giving a proportionate response to protestors throwing cocktails and/or rocks...they are justified in shooting them dead. Definitely a double standard when they are outraged when the Israeli police do the same thing during a Palestinian protest.

cathy burton   June 25th, 2009 1:19 pm ET

talk about farrah fawcett;s emmy, her movies incredible acting, sculpting and art work, amazing businesswoman. stop just talking about charlie;s angels. she is so much more

brian   June 25th, 2009 3:16 pm ET

The reason Republicans are held to a higher standard is because they portray themselves as "Holier than thou" I'm on the right side of god, yet Ensign, Gingrich, Vitter, and the rest of these idiot hypocrites all called Clinton out for doing the same thing? And they often legislate against life with their economic policies that favor corporations and the filthy rifh over average Americans. They deserve what they are getting and I'm not even a democrat!

Jane   June 25th, 2009 3:36 pm ET

Regarding Teenager – casting out "homosexual demon"
So what happens if it doesn't work?
Does he get excommunicated from the church?
Does he go into a severe depression because he's no longer accepted in the church?
Worse yet, what happens of he commits suicide?
This is absolutely appalling!

elizabeth kirk   June 25th, 2009 3:36 pm ET

america must label the arizona minutmen as a terrorists organization first and a vigilante one second. they must all be put on the watch list and passports revoked.

elizabeth kirk   June 25th, 2009 4:12 pm ET

there is no doubt in my mind and heart that america and little bitty england are in fact involved with seeding the seeds of fervor and discontent. think back about 2 yrs ago when cnn revealed a study conducted by one of americas secret police that the best way to undermine the iranian people is to attack them immediately after an election and before any legal or judicial review. sound familiar.it should. in addition trevor , when the israelis attack the palestinian and murder them, that is an act of war. when a sovereign state attacks its own people its either law and order or it is civil war. whatever this is an issue for iran , not ....we are gonna save the world america.

elizabeth kirk   June 25th, 2009 4:21 pm ET

CLOSE TO 8 000 PEOPLE HEVE BEENMURDERED IN AMERICA THIS YR. SO FAR. AND THE BEST CNN CAN DO IS TO TROT OUT BLAH BLAH BLAHS. AMERICA CAN NOT AND WILL NOT SAVE THE WORLD. IT CANT EVEN SAVE ITSELF.

Delgado   June 25th, 2009 9:07 pm ET

You know where we are in the number 1 country in the wold . were you see the most umpredictable hight class political ,presidential industrials, bad reputation offensively to our country

Kyle   June 25th, 2009 10:09 pm ET

I'm not heartless, no one should have to experience the murder of a spouse and child, but this what happens and will continue to happen as long as our government does virtually nothing to stop the infestation of illegals in this country. People will eventually take matters into their own hands, often with deadly results. I feel for the victims, but I share the minutemen's sense of outrage at an ambivalent government that willingly allows our country to be silentlyinvaded and slowly torn apart from the inside.

And no one can deny that illegals have brought their crime & drug trade with them, so if this family really was dealing drugs then Ilm sorry for your loss, but I really have very little sympathy for them.

Don Whyte   June 25th, 2009 11:59 pm ET

All these extremist think they are better America, they are not. They are making Americans and the country look straight up crazy and insane... what brutally what nonsense.... If they are illegal immigrants and you call the police don't kill them!!!!!!!!

Hey Rick,
How come Bill Oreilly or anybody at Fox News have not covered the Shawna Forde killings. Is it because they strongly back the Minutemen Movement. He spent a couple of days complaining that CNN was not covering domestic terrorism. I am a Conservative Hispanic and I would only watch Fox News, but they don't want or need our audience. My parents came from Mexico in the 60's, became citizens and are super conservative morally, religiously and fiscally but vote democrat because republicans don't want them. Anyway please don't let this story die. What happened to that little girl in Arizona is not right the Hispanic people need a voice.

Raul Garza Jr   June 29th, 2009 3:28 pm ET

No coverage of this on Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Lou Dobbs or Glen Beck?? Of course not. Now, the question, will Rick let this story be swept under the rug?

Alex Pena   June 29th, 2009 6:56 pm ET

Hello,

I am a 19 year old college journalist and I have recently put together a story about migrant workers in Immokalee, Fl. I was able to sneak a camera into the fields while I worked with the migrants in order to document their lifestyles and cultures. The piece came out very good and I was wondering if there was a possibility for CNN to air it because it deals with a lot of issues involving immigration and how it affects their families. Please let me know if you would like to talk to me more about this. Thank you!

Alex Pena

This is very sad story. I used to march with Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta; Like Martin L. King, they asserted that we must stand for ALL people's rights not just blacks or Latinos. I am a Latina. But I feel safer around Gabachos than around my own ethnic group. But I fear that things may get much worse unless the Mexicans realize that US Citizenship is not a right for them but a privilege. In perspective, even though 1 GI in Iraq murders a family does not lessen the sacrifice our Armed Forces make every day for us. We have far more to fear from violent Mexican Drug Cartels(,kidnappings, bullying, extortion, blackmail and corruption) as my fellow Mexicans bring with them their own family members who often have Mexican Gang Membership- now that is the REALLY SCARY THING COMING TO ALL OF US!

Pamela Ellis   July 1st, 2009 4:26 am ET

Regarding your report of the "actions" of the police dept. and Mayor of the Texas town..What you really need to know it this occurs through out Texas because there is no taxing of the people that live in Texas other than state taxes for purchasing products or home owner taxes. Due to the fact that the people of Texas would have to vote to be taxed, (which will not happen) a commissionor told me that this is one of the only way to get funds needed to support the county & city governments. The fines are outrageous, and if not paid whether minor traffic or not, you will spend jail time until paid. This is common in Texas, and as a Judge told my husband," I can't believe you over my police officer and you can be sure no one in town will jury against him either" Out of State news crews need to do more about this, Everyone is in each others pocket. That's why there is a book called "Smith County Justice" and a movie calle RUSH about the real Texas ways. It is so revealing that the public library is banned from carrying it and Ebay has copies for sale in the hundreds of dollars. It's un real, and so bad we moved out of state to a more civil way of life.

mmka   July 3rd, 2009 4:48 pm ET

today, july 3rd, we have soldiers, in harms way, and so far, 47 minutes into the hour, no mention of it.........
why???????
are we more concerned with michael jackson???
very sad!

Cousin Art   July 6th, 2009 6:13 pm ET

I say you stop laying this murder at the feet of the Minutemen. Had the murderers been plastic surgeons, would you have taken it out on them? How' bout had they been...black? No difference. just because you want open borders does not give you the right. BTW, I'm an inmigrant who came to the US LEGALLY.

r mancini   July 6th, 2009 9:39 pm ET

God help us and "America" if nothing is done about this invasion. We can hardly call ourselves "home of the brave" in song if this is allowed to stand..
There are some insane crazy people in this country and they are not all at those tea parties. If they are not home molesting kin folk or pets they are out defending the 2nd amendment or arguing any kind of gun control, and sometimes even worse, carrying out a crime such as this.

Nobody argues a persons right to bear arms but these domestic terrorists want an arsenal of fire power and enough automatic weapons to stage their own little coup.
They don't want Mexicans coming here and doing to them what they managed to do to the native Americans back when they were the immigrants and the shoe was on the other foot.
These are the sames fellows who passed out blankets...evil is as evil does.

Rob Gustafson   July 9th, 2009 10:12 am ET

Rick
10 people killed 30 people wounded in Chicago this past July 4th weekend. It seems that CNN is afraid to talk about this. I hear about 5 people in South Carolina and can't believe no one is talking about Chicago. Is it because the president is from Chicago and people want to think it is a safe place? I don't think I will hear anything in regards to my question. The Great Cover up will continue.

Mario S Loya Jr   July 9th, 2009 3:56 pm ET

Can we get an update to this tragedy?

Gail Kawas   July 9th, 2009 4:29 pm ET

Thank you Mr Sanchez for sharing the truth of Honduras with the world.

I am ashamed to say that most of the media has been blind and do not even try to see the reality. Below is a youtube that shows exactly what Mel Zelaya thinks of morality and ethics. The reporter you have in Honduras needs to be changed because he is not reporting but giving his own political views..Example...I was with the mob at the airport in Tegucigalpa and I did not see any people from Nicaragua or Venezuela.....Please explain to me how he can make such a ignorant comment and be working for CNN?

Henry   July 11th, 2009 8:57 am ET

Well looks like disguising Hate with Patriotism , has finally surfaced,
think of how many things like this that has taken place and has went unreported.
These hate groups and thugs, are so conditioned with doing these things they think of things of what to say if they get caught.

Such as they were drug dealers and they were going to into rob them , but decided to shoot them and leave without the drugs???
oh okay.
yeah right, a poor defense to kill people, or be a vigilante or hate group with a patriotic name?
That would be like going to an American home in mexico and killing a family on vacation or living there and saying they were going to rob their drug money because they were there to buy drugs from the cartel or something of that nature.
good stereotyping defense to get out of a crime or to justify murder and hunting mexican immigrant families.
robbing raping and assaulting among murdering them.
and joe piehole arpaio , deputizes and is affiliated with hate groups and recruits them to hunt them.. most of them can be seen on you tube,. and racial profiling among hunting them and harassing them , among targeting them , but what they been doing is a pattern for the past year and a half is to separate them from their children because they are so family oriented so they can get them to leave and torture them and hurt the children.
the self named minutemen/kkk neo extemist groups, are seen protesting day care and preschool for mexican kids, on you tube.

these people will stop at nothing to push their hate agendas using fear.
its a rethuglikkkan thing.

Henry Wolfinger   July 15th, 2009 4:06 pm ET

Rick, let's be done with the dog and pony show that's being reported as news. I'am tired of hearing about the wise latino women comment, please let's put it to rest. I'am tired of hearing the pundits tell me what she possibly could have meant. She's qualified, she'll be confirmed. I don't want to hear from a groucy old senator from Pennsylvania who wants to wine about not be recognize by others, or listen to his old and tired philosophy. Can we stop the reporting about things that really matter, like good men and women dying for this country, people losing their livihoods, their homes and their sense of self worth. People need jobs, a place to live and care for their families, and provide good medical care. We should all be able to have a medical coverage equal to that of all our honorable Congressman and Senators. Shouldn't we?

Margaret Gonzales   July 15th, 2009 4:34 pm ET

I am directing my comments to you, Rick, because you seem to be more objective than others about the comment made by Judge Sotomayor about a wise Latino woman. I am a 75 yr. old Latino, Texas born woman and I agree with her 100%. At first I became angry at the reaction of all the politicians and media for playing it up and making it what, in my opinion was not meant to be. Now I realize that it was the perception of the statement by those people that is the problem. They have no clue as to why the life experience of judge Sotomayor gives her a better understanding, thus makes her better able to make a just assessment of certain cases. I believe she will make an excellent justice for the highest court. And with all due respect to Senator Lindsy Gram, him making a statement like that is nowhere near the same thing, in any way, shape or form. White males have been king. I loved your mom's comments.

Margaret in Texas
