"CNN anchor Rick Sanchez has built his 3 p.m. program around Twitter, as well as Facebook and MySpace, since the show's launch last fall. Sanchez, who has 56,000 followers, reads some tweets on the air and producers run excerpts at the bottom of the screen."

That's just an excerpt from a long Howard Kurtz column that ran in February 23rd's Washington Post.

It's all about how news anchors are now using social media to better connect to and integrate with their audience.

But we know who started it all, right?

Rick is the greatest, but he has a major problem. With so many emailers he and The President can not see ideas, that are a needle in a haystack, that are the best solution for the economy, etc. Too much email. The best we have seen and the best for all "We the People" is a plan by RPWEB. Green Cars and Trucks, Small Business stimulus thus paying for big business products, no need for corruptible bailouts or pork, Stae and local treasuries funding, cash to banks through this system are all some of these incredible ideas researched for the plan. No need for any bailout whatsoever for individual companies, banks, local or state entities and Green, Green, Green everywhere. ... Rick or anyone who is involved is welcome to email RPWEB@hotmail.com to see this plan that has difficulty getting through the email tornado out there. Best plan, best results, best for every American, no pork, no bailout and but funds for state, federal, social security treasuries and rehiring employees which add consumers and purchases at small business which drives it all. Anyone with an access to a Congressman, a Senator or The President and the relationship to be read by these persons please email RPWEB@hotmail.com for more details. And RICK, YOUR ARE THE GREATEST, I ENJOY WATCHING YOU EVERYDAY BUT YOU ARE ONE OF MANY I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO REACH AND THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR THOUSANDS WHO COULD BENEIFIT FROM YOUR BROADCAST AND THE AMERICAN INDIVIDUAL WORKING HARD AND NEEDING TO BE HEARD FOR THE SAKE OF US ALL. P.S. The one person who I did get some contact with at CNN was too busy to learn something new and professed to be a too busy private citizen to have the time to even look at a plan that could change the entire future. This person does have enough time to be regularly commenting on CNN and it disturbs me that this person's Patent office is closed because they already have seen all that will ever be created or because they want to be heard but don't want to do the homework as I have discovered in their comments of late. This description may wkae you to who they are but I am not here to comment on them but to ask you, who really want ti hear new ideas to contact me and show me the system can work with persistence and individual effort to reach a public that needs to know of an alternative to the present handling of the bailout plan. Thanks so much from someone, who other than my main endeavor, also holds a BSJ. But don't beat me up over editing because time doesn't allow in such a drive to get public recognition of an effective plan and the realization from alot of time emailing that this may not even be read by you. Thanks Rick, If you do get this in front of your eyes. And no real knock on your site as you are one of a few who are really making the effort and maybe in the future, You and The President will find a way to read, evaluate and use all good ideas coming across.

Hi Rick,

When viewing the news, I attempt to watch a variety of news channels (CNN, Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.) in an attempt to get a complete and accurate/truthful account of the news. To date, most of us will agree that our nation is facing a very critical economic challenge. All the politicians on the national, state, and local levels that have appeared on these news casts acknowledge that we are facing huge economic challenges and offer a number of solutions. I have yet to hear any of them saying that they are a significant part of the problem. Not any of these politicians have offered to cut their salaries, medical/retirement plans, and all the other perks that they receive at the expense of the tax payers. In the guise of patriotism they heap a whole lot of guilt on us that allows them to come to us to make more and more sacrifices while they continue to feather their nests. Enough is enough. I hope and pray that they will step up and do their part, in as much as they are largely responsible for the economic problem facing all of us and our future generations.

Rick, your racism was showing today.

So, youre a "nativist" if you want people to follow the rules, or do we
get to pick and choose which ones are convenient? "Illegal" means
something.

And, "a sea of white faces"???? Why is that bad? Would a sea of
black faces be bad?

And in reference to your condescending statements that Jindal
is "window dressing" for the Republican party??? Hey, this is the
21st century, black and white alike voted for Obama, why is it so
unfathomable that we really like our chairman and see hope in
Bobby Jindal, a true conservative? Dont be so suspicious, arent
we ALL Americans???

What a great day it would be to see an "Indian" take up residence
in the White House. That would be a "change" I would welcome!

debwilldo   February 24th, 2009 11:35 am ET

Jindel...the very recent face of the Republican party....
A hypocrite of the lowest order, with his hand held out to accept 99% of the stimulous package, while going on every news station that will have him to complain about the 1% that he's refusing (that 1% being the amount to help those who need unemployment compensation).
This man cares more about his run for the White House in 3 years, than he cares about the very immediate need to the citizens of his state.

Republicans are walking on thin ice, and are looking like: Republicans.
Lying liars who lie!!
Thanks Rick, for letting the us see the likes of Sheldon,Cantor, Jindel.
America will ALL soon wake up to what the party of obstruction is really about! The decent members of this party are too silent about the despicable behavior that's being displayed. The loudest, most devisive members of the party are in lockstep with the corporations and banks, to which they've sold their souls!

no one is guaranteed a college education, if you can/t afford it wait until you can.

ZANMAN2   February 25th, 2009 7:14 pm ET

Whats with Joe Bidens forehead? A big black mark? Also, confidence? 96% of all in attendance of the speech, are VERY well off, they aren't feeling our pain.

Christina   February 25th, 2009 8:57 pm ET

What are you doing right now? Update: Telling Rick that he is the Twitter PIMP!!

Clint Moyer   February 26th, 2009 3:45 pm ET

Sanchez, I find your program on (HAT GROUPS) extremely one sided. In listening to you and your selected guests it appears the only people that HAT other people in this country seem to be (Caucasian Americans)?
I find this way of reporting unbalanced and raciest in it self. I am a retired Military (Caucasian American) who bough a gun because its (I believe) my constitutional right. I did not steal it, trade drugs for it .I bought it and paid taxes on it. I will use my weapon in the art of target practice, or hunting game with friends. Not drive by shooting or robbery. I also do not believe my joining friends to pursue our right to have weapons legally makes me or my friends a (HAT GROUPE). I also believe if selected ethnic groups in this country require now to be called (African America, Asian American Mexican American or whatever American Illegal American) its only POLITICLAY correct to call the WHITE People, you know us (snow boys, crackers, doughboys whities) you get the idea. CAUCATION AMERICAN thank you vary much. If all treated the same maby we could all get along better.

Barbara Knox   February 26th, 2009 4:03 pm ET

Regarding the racist cartoons. They are not funny. How can you hate
someone that you don't know! When you hate another person you only make yourself sick

Hey Rick Sanshez, hope your good man...keep up the goooooood work. i would like you to say one thing for me to the new...it's 2 message of hope. First: Everything happens for a reason, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things fall together-» Quote form Marylin Monroe and for the Second : Be the CHANGE you wish to see in the WORLD!!! ...thx ALOT Rick Sanchez...~My Blessingz To You~ :)

I am tired of wall street declining and not admitting the truth! It seems they are going against President Obama at every turn since he spoke of "capping" their salaries. I noticed! I also have noticed no one seems to want to admit they are not used to a President coming into office and DOING HIS JOB! Seems to me, no one is used to a candidate keeping his word once he gets elected. Seems to me every one would rather see President Obama sit on his hands and let this country fail rather than support him for doing his job! I hear the country is looking for "confidence". Well, a person doing the best he can in a "hurricane" of economic purportions should instill "confidence" unless this is not what is truly wanted. Maybe what is truly wanted is bonuses for the select few! Marnina Burnette

I am one of those who makes over $250,000. I work like an animal and I resent the tone used by President Obama every time he refers to those of "us" who actually managed to achieve some measure of the American Dream. Liberals are an American nightmare.

Bobby   March 3rd, 2009 3:48 pm ET

Glenn Beck pwns you hands down.

noybryant   March 3rd, 2009 4:03 pm ET

republican rep. you interview earlier never did answer your question of if he wants Pres. Obama to fail. He kept saying that we don't want American people to fail. Love watching your segments. We have a corrupt Sheriff here in town of Crawfordville Florida. He did a hit and run about a week ago and all he got was two tickets from assist. state attorney. There is an online petition for his remove. You should mention this in your segment next time. People in this county are living with fear of his retaliation if they spoke out of him.

Norma Cousins   March 16th, 2009 9:10 am ET

Rick you are the man,
I love your show and your format...keep up the good work
Question....If an individual owes the IRS 1,000 dollars, they will hunt you down and make sure they get their money. Why is it we can't get any of the BILLIONS of dollars the teives of wall st has stolen?
There is something wrong with this system ...and I want my money back!!!!

Ronald Haw   March 19th, 2009 4:04 pm ET

It's time for the American voters to decide our futures. Since the members of Congress are not qualified to put the American voter's interests their first priority, then it's time to vote all the incumbent members of Congres out of office.

adela tremp   March 20th, 2009 3:37 pm ET

I find it ironic that congress gets upsets with AIG bwhen they give themselves automatic pay raises no matter what shape thee country is in amen

joan kearns   April 27th, 2009 6:53 pm ET

i have yet to hear an unbiased report from you on the President...is he perfect? No? Then you chose to report both sides of any story on him or his adminstration? I am so disappointed in you..I DVR all your shows...and I just deleted them all.....you are playing right into THEIR games of media being so totally liberal left...another one bites the dust...just tell us the facts and stop quoting polls...no one believes them anyway...one side or the other...

j bagley   July 28th, 2009 10:22 am ET

Your a better man than me, I would never have told R,. Martin he was still my friend. Him, Jessie, and Al S. all hate any one thats not black. And by the way I love your coverage (watch it everyday).
