Missed

Zimbabwean politics and the "Octomom" in the same report? Yeah, it's what you DIDN'T see on Sanchez this week.

Whiskey protests and space junk and adorable puppies. They're all things we failed to show you this week from 3-4 PM EST.

So much world to cover, and only one hour a day is never enough!

Click on the clip and Rick will tick off a few items that we just didn't have time for this week.

Good Morning Rick, I wanted to tell u how much i enjoy the show ,and how u seem to be a great director of gettig things shown off the Twitter or My Face Boards. My one observation being a Canadian and we being r ur best customer as we send u over 60% of all thegoods we manufacture as well as Wood ,Oil and Natural Gas, and we buy most of our products form u
I was wndering what u thought about ur new president Mr Obama, I was screaming the night he got elected so proud of the United States to go with something they had never ever intended to but he brought a fresh new excitement that has rarely been seen in the past 8 years and it lifteed everyones spirits. I see he has lost another person he had wanted for Commerce Secretary that has decided that it was oo far off what he believed in and he didn't want to change what had made him so he respectfully declines, that makes three. My comment is this , it doesn't seem like change at all, he is having proolems with his stimulius package ,ithas not been eassy for him to get ti through, lots of deals and it has lowed the initial one by 100 million. He screamed change , and i hope he does , but as of today its seems to be the same , but with different faces. he talked about transparancy and that the people of the Uniteed States would see where each dollar was and who was getting it and as of today, he is lacking in the spirit to which he had told the American Public I truly hope iam wrong. Love the show!!

keep your bags packed Rick, you won't be around long

russpad   February 14th, 2009 8:48 am ET

Rick, well , your pal Rush said it all, alot of nothing! Maybe republicans should all ban together and send back their refundable tax credit, tax incentives on autos.ect. and all tax cuts set fourth in this bill! If its no good , do the right thing, DONT ACCEPT IT ! be a true Republican!

Roy Williams   February 14th, 2009 9:52 am ET

Friday you had a Republican Analyizist on who was singing the praises of trickle down economics started by President Reagan.

The fact of the matter is that it flat does not work. I am going to FAX CNN a handout that shows what happened to our economy under the last four Republican Presidents. You can check it out to see that it is factual. If it is the truth, it supports my contention that trickle down economics is a myth.

nik271   February 14th, 2009 10:51 am ET

Congratulations Obama on pushing thru the stimulus. If Obama succeeds to solve the US economy and avoid a US depression like 1929, Obama will be remembered as the greatest US president ever, greater than even Washington, Lincoln and Rooselvelt. His success will show that the black man is just as capable if not more capable than the white man. If Obama succeeds, I think the next 10 US presidents after Obama will all be blacks.
Congratulations again Barrack Obama.... Good job!

Carol Bormann   February 14th, 2009 10:56 am ET

Do your colleagues at CNN not watch your show? CNN has begun their "day in the life" of a freshman congressman series. The Colorado representataive said that 90% of the stimulus bill was available for reading since it passed the first time, and that changes were distributed to members when they were approved. Why is CNN continuing to give credence to the Republican cry of "We only had a few hours to read it before voting" and showing the theatrics of a stack of paper for dramatic effect? When I was teaching I wouldn't buy that excuse from my students and I certainly won't accept it as an excuse from elected officials! I would expect this biased reporting from Fox - not CNN.

Is it a coincidence that it became public (Jack Black slip up) that Angelina Jolie was pregnant with twins in May/08 and 9 months later Angelina’s clone "The Octomom” has a new brewed of 8 to add to her 6. I don’t think it’s a coincidence at all, in fact I wouldn’t say that Nadya Suleman is obsessed with looking like Jolie as much as she’s in some sick obsessive competition to live Jolie’s life.

Why is no one asking how Nadya Suleman paid for her infertility treatments? The average cost for IVF is 9,800.00 for one cycle. Also, how did she afford prenatal care and hospital and delivery costs?

craig monteilh   February 14th, 2009 2:50 pm ET

Rick, I'm watching "The Making Of A Jihadist." This is a very interesting topic. I was personally radicalized by jihadists. I was recruited by F.B.I. Joint Terrorism Task Force agents and lived among jihadists for 11 months. It was called, "Operation Flex" executive order 12356. FISA warrants were executed and sealed indictments obtained. Rick, there are jihadists living among us. And they are many. They use the Quran as the tool to radicalize. And if you're willing you can be trained at a terrorist training camp and participate in an operation against the U.S. Jihadists are here. Its real. I didn't hear about it. I was part of it.

I think that our senators and congressmen should be checked out just like anyone else that is hired in a position where they will handle money....their credit scores should be checked. If they can't handle their own money why should we allow them to handle ours?

Rick:

Why does the American media still give the the Republicans a free ride in Washington? Pres. Obama is right: the Republicans lost the election primarily because of their mismanagement of the economy and the Republicans attempted to blindly impose that policy agenda on the electorate through "bipartisan" initiatives. I think that has been the first real test of the Obama administration, and not buying into the purposeful redirection of much-needed initiatives has been the first real political victory of the "New Washington". Stalling the bill(s) is neither popular with the American public nor is it economically smart. But if the Republicans can count on the complicit support of the media, people can continue to ignore substantive issues. And of course Republicans can continue to ignore the usual consequences for irresponsible and callous actions. I think the House Democrats were right: the Republicans have been entirely obstructionist with the economic cabinet positions and with the Stimulus bill(s). Instead of holding those individuals accountable for their continued partisan extortion of the American government (and the worldwide economy), you – the media – gratuitously criticize Pres. Obama and his 3-week administration for their first efforts towards real change.

Maria Flengas   February 14th, 2009 6:50 pm ET

Rick, would you let the Republicans know what a load of crap they are spewing about this stimulas package? Obviously, they had 8 years under President Moron and his merry band of thieves to do something , for those of us who live on main street America, but chose not to. Now, Senator Boehner and they rest of those idiots have the nerve to come out and say they are looking out for my interests? They need to just shut up and do what an overwhelming majority of we, the people, want, and that is do what President Obama is trying to do fix this country.

And finally, the so called 'STIMULUS' – (a TROJAN HORSE TOOL CONDUCTED TO THE DEMISE THE DOWNFALL OF OUR NATION ) .... so finally is in place.

CORRUPTION SERVED WELL AND THE PEOPLE STILL DECEIVED AND STILL IN LETATRGIC 'OBAMANIZING PSEUDO-HYPNOTIC TRANCE'.

So, Sen Gregg pull out from the 'game' right?,….I wander,…did he see/discover something VERY BAD (going on and more forcoming) that scared him to chills, and do not want any part on it?

We are talking CORRUPTION, RIGHT?

I wander IF exist the POSSIBILITY that Specter, Snowe, and Collins, did receive BRIBE FOR TO SUPPORT THIS STIMULUS YUNK,….COULD IT BE? OR NOT?

You know, CORRUPTION WHICH IS LARGELY SPREADED LIKE WEALTH NOWADAYS, SEEMS TO BE VIRTUALLY ACCEPTED AS A PATERN OF ‘NORMAL CONDUCT FOR POLITICIANS’

As result everyone knows how it goes :… ‘how’ the past elections were ‘won’,…and the CALIBER of somes the present INTEGRANTS at the PRESIDENTIAL CABINET. Not to mention that the original CROOKS and THIEVES that promote the fiasco in our economy (FANNIE, FREDDIE, AND THE PEOPLE INVOLVED – WE ALL KNOW THE EVENTS).

America is not at it’s best,…and that, we all can tell is for sure,….and the bottom line is CORRUPTION! …. CORRUPTION=DESTRUCTION

We the voters, should not, and MUST NOT ! ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE. LET’S BE HONEST AND CORRECT WITH OURSELVES,BECAUSE PEOPLE,…THE LEADERS AT HELM ARE NOT !

THE SIGNS ARE CLEAR

Obama and his gang deceived the public,'since moment one'... and the practice continues.
Because the elocuency IS so convincing the many people still swallowing the PROMISES ...NEVER ACCOMPLISHED – AND NEVER WILL BE !

A president that does not comply with what he said. A cabinet loaded with CORUPTEND ELEMENTS,...and so, .... private asset, census, free speech, and other socio-factors dynamics, and not to mention the so called 'TRANSPARENCY',...all that and more, going under the SAME TWISTED ANTI-AMERICAN/OR UN-AMERICAN VECTORS.

WHAT IF one day there is an statement from White House in this manner?

"PEOPLE OF UNITED STATES, EFFECTIVELY IMMEDIATELY, WE ARE A DICTATORSHIP/TOTALITARIAN NATION, WITH SOCIALILSM-MARXIST REGIME SPECTRUM.....NO FREE SPEECH, AND THE AS WE STARTED PREVIOUSLY, NOW THE GOVERNMENT OWNS ALL THE PRIVATE ASSET, AND IN DOING SO WE START THE NEW ORDER!...NEXT STOP, COMMUNISM !"

How about that people?;.....did anyone vote for this in the past fraudulent elections?

Does anyone out there wish to have a TIME MACHINE to go back in time and undo the PATHETIC, FRAUDULENT election outcome? Well,...surprise!, surprise! we do not have the technology , not just yet,...so try to doit beter for the next elections , IF WE EVER GET INTO ANOTHER ONES ! (???)

I know this stimulus package is not the one you would have created and I would like to know why it was presented! Though I know he would never say this, I feel that if I was President Obama I would say to the Democrats in Congress "with friends like you, who needs enemies". That the economy needs some form of stimulus is w/o question. This bill, the so-called Economic Stimulus package, s/b called the Economic Detritus package, its effects w/b felt for generations to come. What happened to the "transparency", "accountability", and letting the public have a chance to "weigh in?" that we were promised? This is just more of the same old same old in a quickly wrapped package.

William Gale   February 16th, 2009 3:55 pm ET

Some American's want to READ the stimulus bill, and weren't we promised the chance to do so and give input to our Congressional reps? Also, might be nice if THEY read it!!! That would be "change we can believe in."
I think we need a stimulus bill, but not this slap dash effort.

Moderation? It appears that the Republicans are hoping that this doesn't work and are verbalizing that feeling, it appears they would rather the whole economy go down than admit they might be wrong. Don't get me wrong I AM A REPUBLICAN BUT THAT CAN BE CHANGED.

Marty R   February 16th, 2009 5:02 pm ET

Reality check people. I listened to some interesting comments that were made at the detroit auto show. With the big three auto makers struggling to stay alive being acussed of making vehicles that nobody wants yet it seems that all vehicle manufacturers are sufferinfg similar fates. The comments centered around the fact that with our fuel prices being so much lower than that of europe what is the incentive for people to go out and buy a fuel efficient vehicle when gas here is dirt cheap. With so much talk about how american tax payers are going to pay for a nearly trillion dollar stimulus package i offer this thought. With roughly 250 million registed vehicles on the road using an average of lets just say 200.00 a month in fuel a 15% increase in fuel tax each year for the next four years would still make our fuel cheaper than that of our europen friends, but would add nearly 500 billion dollars to the cause of paying for this stimulus package. Maybe even create some demand for fuel efficient vehicles and inject money into further greener product development. Not to mention the fact that 500 billion could go a long way to stimulate other sectors of the economey and employ hundreds of thousands of individuals. Now I know some critics will say how can people afford another 30 bucks a month in fuel when times are already tough but is that to much to pay if it means you will still have a job next month and not be worried about the prospect of being laid off? Just a thought from a Canadian friend.

Mistressaware   February 16th, 2009 5:12 pm ET

Rick,
You served Tennesse Republican Rep, Marsha Blackburn some good ol' fashion investigative journalism cramped with hard facts about how one of the real reasons the U.S. Economy is in the toilet is because of the avalanche of debt caused largely by the Iraq War. Thank you for so eloquently putting the mirror in front of Ms. Blackburn about the untold billions of dollars that are still being thrown into the black hole of the U.S. "Iraq War Stimulus Package". Republicans have a lot of nerve complaining about the current administration's efforts to help ease some of the suffering of its own citizens (with our own taxpayers monies), when, overwhelmingly, the Republicans continue to this day to stand by, in silence, about the atrocities caused by and that are continuing as a consequence of the many failures of the Bush Administration. To be fair, the current economic mess has origins of bipartisanship responsibility. But if now, the Republicans, insist on nit-picking every little thing about our country's current "Econonic Stimulus Package" to help stablize our tittering on the brink of a depression , they need to spend some of their time providing the American people with an accounting of all the "blank checks" they gave to the Bush Administration to buy democracy in Iraq, while even American soliders are returning home to no jobs, no homes, and no future. Such "selective" critism put forth by Ms. Blackburn is insult on top of injury!!

Hi Rick, I live in Lacombe, Alberta Canada, and I saw the meteor you mentioned on your show today. I was driving north into Lacombe just a few minutes after 10pm on Thursday the 12th Feb. At first I thought it was a shooting star, but then it brightened up. It was very similar to the one in November which I was also lucky enough to see. When I saw your film clip I new that was what I saw. I knew I couldn't have been the only one to see it. I checked the news as soon as I got home that night which was only moments later, but the only thing on all news chanels was the Buffalo plane crash.

mari   February 17th, 2009 1:53 am ET

Rick,
We love your show, you ask probing questions & you are informed which is why we watch. We all need to be iknformed & its the job of the media. You could give lessons to many others at CNN to teach them how to ask great questions. Because you are so informed the guests are not getting by with their glib political dialogue. Keep on making them accountable, don't let them just show up & smile while they try to impress us with their dim wittedness. We all need the one thing that you do well, involvement in our nations well being.

Rick, I am really upset with members of the republican party. Its as if they are trying to set President Obama up for failure. First they said the stimulus bill was too large; Now they are saying its not large enough. Republicans have had 8 years to get it right and failed. Now they need to either help the President or get out of his way. This is not the time for old tired gotcha republican politcal games. People are suffering and republicans do not care!!!!!

btheboss   February 17th, 2009 2:04 pm ET

I am wondering about Flight 3407... It seems to me as if there was a combination of two factors in the tragedy: 1) Pilot error – de-icing equipment engaged early in the flight; ice still on the wings and tail near end of flight; yet, autopilot engaged during approach for landing. Scenario appears to have violated safety standards if not actual written guidelines. 2) Mechanical failure – de-icing features (liquid and ballooning) did not appear work effectively. Also, flaps may have been compromised by weather/icing (i.e., functioned on one side and not the other). Conclusion: A) Misuse of autopilot along with ice on the wings, tail and flaps lead to the pitch and roll or death spiral; B) In addition, there were likely maintenance issues with the ballooning mechanism (on the wings and tail) and the flaps. N.B. The down turn in the global economy may have changed the airline industry in previously unseen ways. Inadequate maintenance is now manifesting as airplane catastrophes or near catastrophes. The record of airplane disasters (or near disasters) that have recently made the news are the Hudson River landing, the hard landing at Heathrow Airport and now the Buffalo Crash. Prior to settling on the “bird strike” as the reason for the Hudson River landing, there were serious rumors of maintenance issues with the aircraft. Assuming the maintenance rumors were accurate – Could a properly maintained aircraft have made it to its original destination or at least nearby Tetoboro Airport and not been forced into the Hudson River?

Gyrene in Florida   February 18th, 2009 5:10 am ET

Rick,
Many hard working Americans have lost their homes due to these very difficult times but not everyone just walks away in the middle of the night. Trying to do the right thing some homeowners are going through the "short sale" process, working with the bank. When the property is sold because the bank makes their decision to accept less than what's due on the mortgage, the seller is punished by the mortgage company issuing a 1099-C to the IRS, causing the seller who was forced to sell the property to now owe huge amounts of federal income tax. How can anyone who was unable to make their mortgage payments due to employment cut backs or layoffs pay thousands of dollars in an added tax? Congress MUST DO SOMETHING to STOP KILLING GOOD PEOPLE AND CREATING A FURTHER MESS FOR MILLIONS OF AMERICANS WITH NO PLACE TO RUN!!! Any tax shown to be owed due to a 1099-C should be eliminated, really "forgiven" by the IRS. Such a policy as part of the termporary assistance programs to fix our system could be limited to tax return years for 2005 through 2009. Guaranteed this step would greatly reduce the foreclosure and bankruptcy disasters facing our country today. If the President really wants to help homeowners he will eliminate the fear and threat of being ruined by the 1099-C, the final straw for families all over our country, Americans who deserve better than being further scammed by the IRS. Mr. President , PLEASE STOP THE BLEEDING!!!!

Rick it’s bad that people who have lost there job and who needs the economic stimulus money the most will not get it until a year later when they file their 2009 tax return, therefore what good is it if it cannot help those who need it the most. If you are working you already getting a pay check but those who lost there job or those who work for a company that did not pay in to Social Security but had there own retirement plan and that person got hurt on the job and then get screw by the Bureau of Workers Compensation to which they got nothing but the injury because they refused to expect the medical evident that prove there is an injury all because there is a conflict of interest with the place where this person work and the independent doctor and even that person attorneys that he had to work his case to which no one and I mean no one want to look into this matter because of who this person was employed with is like a god to this state and city, to which this person did not have enough time in to get Social Security, who also spouse had to have three surgeries to which the doctor, who also part of the place of employment above, did not do it right, to which he no longer wanted to treat that spouse for the problem she had and on one else wants to touch what some other doctor screw up, to which too that spouse had to go on disability, but get third party sick pay (Long term disability) which is use to file a tax return each year, also with three children who is trying to get a college education, with one in their senior year and one in their junior year, and the other one just starting out, thought it not could having it now instead of a year from now would still help, but we are the ones who is always forgot about and not even in the system lost, we are just not anywhere. The person got injury in 1990 and in 1992 was told by the Bureau Workers Compensation (BWC) that he had a problem that if it did not get treated it would go up that person spine. Then that person employer pay a doctor to rule again the State own doctor and say that that problem did not exist and that problem with untreated and just like the state doctor say it would do if it went untreated it went up the back that was injury up his spine to which that person disc in his neck now slide into his spine cord and causes vary problem that for now last for a short period, but in the mean time that person have went to the doctor for strokes, heart attack, lost of motor function in arm and the only thing that was real was the lost of motor function to which was only temporary and then the problem was found that was cause all of this but had to be found by some one other than the BWC at someone else expense and even with all of this known BWC will not admit that there is a problem, meaning that person have to suffer.
Now this is the system that everyone love so much and people are fighting to keep University Health from the people, instead people who really have a problem go untreated and have to live and be punished each and everyday because they slip and fell on a wet floor and hurt their back and then was order by his supervisor to go shovel or quite, who could afford to quite, therefore he shovel the snow and did father damage to which that place of employment like I said control the people in treating that person. Now that person left with nothing to which the Governor, nor his State Representative would look into the matter instead they turn it over to the very people who in fact is the very problem to look into it and that like telling the fox to guard the hen house, meaning that person is totally screwed.
I written this because I know how you like to get to the truth of what is really going on in America and to let people know that they think that they got problems, well there are people even worst off than they are to which they had have no hope what so ever and it wrong how people will treat someone all because they have the money and the backing of people who worship them to do so. Oh ye this employer is Ohio State University, now maybe just maybe you now know what I am taking about, how someone can do what ever they want, when ever they want, to who ever they want to do it too and no one will ever say anything bad about them all because they love their outstanding reputation and give money to them to keep it that way. In the mean time I will do what ever I can to get the true out of what some employer will do just because they can and they know that there is nothing you can do to stop them from doing it and I mean nothing, but I will keep on trying to the day I die because this is not the America that so many people gave their blood to protect.

Thank you for your time…..

Rick,

Eyes are off the oil and gas refining companies right now because of the downturn in other areas of the economy. If you may have noticed gasoline has been on the rise when oil is in the tank. I believe and so do others, that the gasoline/oil price crisis this past summer was a key factor in our current economic situation.

The government regulates many private sector companies whether they do a good job or not. They regulate banks, electric companies, phone companies, drugs, food, etc. Why are they not regulating the oil/gas refining companies as well?

Oil and gasoline are the life blood of our economy. This summer's rise in prices prove how they effect our economy. Many minimum wage workers couldn't even afford to work because it was costing more to get to work than what they made. I hope you give some insight when the government plans on regulating this vital area of our economy.

Thanks for spending all the money Obama. You forgot to fix the Housing problem, and small business loans. (you know the backbone of the Country) Im glad CA has millions for field mice though. Seems like a fair trade.

Comment I sent to the NY Post 02-18-09

Moved to New York in 1957 from Portsmouth, Va where I now reside. I moved to New York during the heights of segregation here in Va. long before the civil rights movement when there was no change in sight. When I was a kid here in Va there were still a few old slaves still around. These people were reverend in our sights. We could look at them and know that if they survived the brutality of slavery Jim Crow laws were a lesser burden for us. When I moved to New York I found out that the only difference in what I left was that a lot of people spoke other languages, but they were still full of prejudice .Like in Va law enforcement was segregated and applied the law differently when we were involved.
On the early morning of my tenth birthday there was a policeman at our door telling my mother my 17 year old brother was in Kings County Hospital emergency. He had been chased up on and thrown off of a roof top by a New York Policeman, just like in the movie Ft Apache. I often wonder If that scene was a reenactment of my brother’s death or if it maybe had been a common practice. If you are so jaundiced that you think my brother did something to deserve this know that the case came to court and even though there was no civilian review board or anything like it at the time the evidence was so convincing to the judge that the officer was found guilty of aggravated manslaughter, he got three months suspension. When I heard about your cartoon and its inference to the President it made me furious that people like this are allowed to still exist. When I was in Germany 1970-73 I passed Dachau everyday on my way to work from Munich to Augsburg. My wife and I once visited there and we both sat there and watched the films and we both cried like babies. If a person professed to be a Nazi I and most people would feel a compulsion to destroy them. If someone exhibited a Nazi flag I and most people would like to rip it to pieces and the person along with it. Why then are you not outraged at this behavior or the Confederate flag same as me. Have you too like Hitler and the slavers convinced yourselves that your behavior can be justified by dehumanizing others, sound familiar. You should apologize. We are a forgiving people. President Obama whether you voted for him or not, whether you are the same color as him or not is doing his very best for us all. Even you who don't look like him. I have voted for many whites that have done less than nothing for me. I think maybe your cartoon would of been more accurate if the cops had been the chimps and the victim a REAL human being.

Everytime you show these HS fights it's at a Black High School.
I think the media likes showing blacks acting this way. Fights break out all over America every year but the only two or three that seem to find their way on t.v. are the ones occuring at Black High School basketball games. It's racist... I'm not condoning the fights....just condeming the obvious selectiive coverage we see in the media. I wish CNN were this interested in Blacks when one of our little ones is under an Amber Alert.

MICHELLE MALKINS CONPLICATED AND NO POISE, JUST A FOX NEWS ABYSS. ALWAYS DWELLING ON PEOPLE THAT ARE TO SICK, HOMELESS, OR TO OLD TO RESPOND TO HER NEGATIVE OPINION. JUST LIKE THE GOP .MEAMING HATE TO THE MIDDLE CLASS.

The Pro   February 19th, 2009 3:59 pm ET

Those SICKO people attacking the Octomom should get a life.
LIFE IS ABOUT CHILDREN!!

It's why we are here. I knew a woman who had 20 children. (Not all the same time) She was loved by everybody. And she did it all on Welfare. That is what Welfare if for.

It's very rare to find a couple who actually wait to have a baby until they can afford it.

To have 14 kids, 8 at one time, makes her a hero. Life is where its at. Kids are our purpose in life. It is what God put us here for. Go forth and populate the earth.
Life is far more important than money. Money is the root of all evil.

The Pro   February 19th, 2009 4:03 pm ET

Who is the SICKO who actually thinks the Octo Mom looks like Angelina?

Angelina is beautiful. Nadia is plain. Are they talking about the thick lips?

I'd hate to see what they call ugly.

The Pro   February 19th, 2009 4:10 pm ET

What I really hate is people who would vote for an absolute MONSTER who killed millions of people, destroyed our freedom, bankrupted our country, TORTURED constantly while keeping them prisoner year after year without trial, removed all restrictions on banks and industry until we got 10 million homes foreclosed on, our air and water polluted, countless other crimes, and they vote for him because he is against ABORTION!

If you want to get rid of abortion then get a majority! Your never going to do it sneaking around the backside and cramming it down our throats.

frank c.   February 20th, 2009 9:16 am ET

THIS WALL STREET SKELETON, RICK SANTELLI, AND HIS WALL STREET MUGS, THINK MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE DONT PAY TAX, ANOTHER POODLE FOR THE GOP.

Sean   February 20th, 2009 10:15 am ET

This whole deal w/the "Octomom", as she is being called, has gone beyond pathetic. We the tax payers are supporting this woman & her children. To have her seeking a million dollar home is infuriating.

common sense   February 20th, 2009 3:26 pm ET

how about making the person or people that got her pregnant pay for all these kids until they are of age to be on their own. After all if you got her pregnant you would have to pay

ali congdon   February 20th, 2009 6:18 pm ET

THE OCTOMOM SHOULD NOT GET A DIME, MONEY DONATED FOR THE CHILDREN WOULD BE ALLOWED WITH SOMEONE OUTSIDE OF THE FAMILY HANDLING IT SHE IS DOING THIS FOR MONEY FOR HERSELF VERY SELF CENTERED WOMEN SHE ALREADY SAID SHE WANTS A HOUSE FOR ALL HER CHILDREN AND HER AND PLENTY OF NANNIES SO SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. I HOPE PEOPLE THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN AND DON'T FALL IN TO HER TRAP. I GUESS SHE THINKS EVERYONE IS STUPID. ALI

Chad Chappelle   February 23rd, 2009 4:16 pm ET

Well Ill just start out by voicing my honest opinion. Why dont you guys cover stories that would actually do something for America. I cant even watch tv much anymore because you guys are rambling and making news a joke. Who cares about "OCTOMOM" really? I hope you have a degree and im sure you do, use it and cover some real stories. your wasting airtime and the time of your watchers. I dont find any of this stuff usefull or encouraging, what a waste of energy. And America wonders why were in so much troiuble, and have so many issues, Why dont you cover health insurance and why cant one of you guys tell me why my roomate a 22 year old male, cant get desent insurance, let alone any SSi or disability. He has Hemophilia and is considered high risk, and cant really keep a job because he is in the hospital. And e ven trained professionals are messing up his treatment plan....

Purnell Kankakee IL.   February 24th, 2009 3:14 pm ET

Rick,if the policeman said the derogatory quotes, then he must had felt comfortable saying them; So not only should he be fired, or admonished but the origanization he belong to should be retrained and investigated for their systematic racial insensitive tolorance.

Time to clip Murdoch's wings and neuter Fox too.!!

lili   February 24th, 2009 3:55 pm ET

What about investigating Limbaugh for Un American activities? He is a disgrace and a danger to our security!!!

mjk   February 24th, 2009 4:03 pm ET

Hello Rick, I tried to blog on gig and facebook and neither one worked.
So, here is my comment about the owner of Fox News. Fox news does not give the news. It only gives their biased opinion toward the Republican party. Although I voted for Hilliary in the primary and voted for McCain in the election, I like to watch the news in a factual way not a biased one.

Fox news spends most of their time criticizing the left wing. I do not always vote Republican or Democrat. It is only when I get unbiased true facts that I can determine who I will vote for. nuf said. Marlene

mjk   February 24th, 2009 4:11 pm ET

Dear Rick,

Do you think their will ever be a TV station which will deliver unbiased truth about the news?

Aren't there enough sponsors to sponsor such a station? Cnn is not as biased as Fox but it is very evident they are strictly left wing!!!!!!!! mjk

I have a need to hear and see true factual information so that I can know the truth. mjk

Michael F. Adams   March 2nd, 2009 3:55 pm ET

Rick
I maybe wrong but common sense tells met that you do not go deep sea fishing in a small especially with 4 grown men and fish over the side of the boat. Even in a big boat made for deep sea fishing a big fish can pull the boat backward so why would anyone go fishing in a small boat and fish over the side. Mean in my opinion that someone snag a big one and it overturn that small boat and we both know they were out there doing more than your fishing meaning that they may had had one two many beers and that in itself is dangerous even with a big boat. Yet how embarrassing that would be to say that a while fish that a fish overturn your the boat and got away to 4 big Tough NFL Foot Player, that would be very hard to live down. Therefore a wave would be the easy way out and to save face. But either way they should have known better to go fishing with all the money they have in such a little boat. Please do take in mind that my prayer goes out to the families for there lost but they should have known better to be college educated Men.
