Did You Know This Guy Even Existed?

Snakes and Playboy and sledgehammers, oh my!

We producers get so consumed with "Breaking News" and live guest interviews that many, MANY important stories always manage to slip beneath our radar.

Click that adorable green face for a quick review of items Rick just didn't have time to show you this week.

I'm not a detective, but it is as obvious to me as the nose on my face, that the Mississippi policeman in Benndale, Mississippi had some-thing to do with the killing of the young black football player there. There is no doubt in my military mind that this kid was a victim of a hate crime. A young Black high school student, I'm sure was a very poplar student with the ladies. I suspect that one of his lady friends was probably a White girl. Ask the investigators, what kind of social life was the young man leading. Did he have a Black girlfriend or did he have a White girlfriend? Or did he have both? This crime was definitely racially motivated. Another thing...when the cop pulled this kid over, the kid was sitting behind the wheel of his car. The cop told the kid to"sit" seated while, he (the cop) walked back to his patrol car.
While the cop, walking back to his car, the young black kid picked up a shotgun, got out of the car without making any noise, went to the front of the car, put a shotgun to his head and pulled the trigger, and the cop never looked back until he heard the "gun shot". The cop then saw the kid laying on the ground with the shotgun on top of him. The cops in Benndale, Mississippi have been watching too many KKK movies! This is 2008 and the American people just elected a Black man as President of the United States. This nation has come too far to allow hate crimes like this to be condoned. Thanks Rick for letting me know about this crime. Don't let this one go "Cold Case Files".

The story on December 18, about the tragic death of a young black athelete in Mississippi, you mentioned that there might have been a rifle bullet used in the 12 gauge shot gun as a possibillity. The lawyer and other guest said there was a small wound behind the ear and no exit wound. Your guest mentioned it unlikely that the entry wound wouldn't be that small behind the ear but more importantly I think the red flag is that a rifle bullet powerful enough to effectively hunt deer with wouldn't leave a exit wound. When hunting game the size of deer requires a weapon with real knock down power, particularly at the distances that are usually involved. For it to be suicide, it must be self inflicted and it must be at point blank range. I'm no bullistics expert but I think this is an important aspect to ponder.

I'm sure there are lots of stories that missed the news. But, how could you miss over one million people attending the International Meeting of Families in Mexico City? Families from every continent met at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadulupe for the Sixth International Meeting of Families. I guess we in the United States of America are so enamored with ourselves for electing an African-American President that we think nothing else of consequence that occurs on our continent matters?

Another question: why doesn't CNN have WORLD RELIGIONS as a subject on your header? Lots of stories could be told under that heading, from the Monks in Myanmar to the Israel/Gaza conflict.
