You may recall we reported yesterday that a church sign in Kansas read the following: "America we have a Muslim president. This is a sin against the Lord."

The Newswriter says she was "impressed to see someone on one of the Big Bad Media Outlets actually call this religious B.S. ignorance." Newswriter is an anonymous liberal blogger, and by the way, Pastor Mark Holick will be my guest tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3:30 EST, so I'll get the chance to ask him about this.

Evo Morales

Bolivian Pres. Evo Morales

Then there's Evo Morales, his people aren't even taking our calls right now. I told his chief of staff I would ask the Bolivian president about the leftist tilt in Latin America, and his own leftist leanings.

You see, I was born in a country that moved so far to the left, the government ended up controlling everything, including the press. How could I, as a journalist, not ask Evo Morales respectful but tough questions about this? How could he not explain to Americans what his vision is, allay their fears?

Or did he just confirm them?

President Morales, your move, the invitation remains open.

Dale Carnegie said that those who are fearful are not those that argue, but those that dodge. Unfortunately, his avoidance may engender the same ignorant fear of all leftist thinking in the minds of the average audience. Not to mention, it's just bad manners.

I am so angry at Secretary Paulson!! Is there any way he can be prosecuted for violating a law since the $750B bail-out bill specified that some of it was to be used to help homeowners with their mortgage problems? Didn't that bill become law when President Bush signed it?

Why didn't you press that moronic minister who claimed Obama is a Muslim? You let him off the hook dude! Why get into a discussion about scripture. He played you man! That's someone who should be nailed to the proverbial cross on his distortions of fact and then excused like a child for his foolish interpretations of the bible.

Hey Rick,
You are doing a maverlous job there at CNN. I wanted to comment about the sign in Kansas church, this is uncalled for for a church to judge the leaders who are anoited of God. Obama is a christian and an anoited leader so i rest my case with this to the pastor not to judge people because he is not God. May God forgive him for this.

Considering the greed segment... If, at any time, there is a fixed amount of money in the world... call it the money pile...and some people take thousands, or millions of times their share (like hedge fund managers), it's just harder for anyone else to to get any at all. Hence, no health care, no rebuilding of infrastructure, working familes losing their homes, and the list goes on.

President Obama' Government will be like a big orchestra. With a lot of high skill players aud outstanding performers (remember the 3 Tenors) The Maestro Obama directing all of them in Harmony for a successful accomplishment.
All the above will be proud having been part at a moment of History of USA

Re: Auto Industry: Rick, I worked at Ford for thirty years. When I hired in 1973, there were over 10,000 workers at the Lorain Auto Assembly Plant. When I retired there were less than 3,000 workers and the plant closed! Then Toyota built a car dealership less than 7 miles away! I am so sick and tired of everyone blaming the auto industry and the unions for its failure. Does no one remember NAFTA? The unions fought against NAFTA and loss. The unions knew and we, the auto workers, knew it would be the "death" of the auto industry. NO ONE CARED! All the big heads and government cared about was how much money they would make. The auto industry has been blamed for not retooling and not improving on their cars. Well let me tell you, the auto industry did try to improve on their cars, but every time they did the "government" came in and DEMANDED all sorts of requirements to these automobiles. I admit the auto industry is part blame but the bottom line is if it hadn't been for NAFTA, none of us would be in this problem! Lorain county had the shipyard, steel mill, General Motors, Ford, and hundreds of small businesses. This was a blue collar community with great jobs and plenty of them. They are all gone or on the verge of leaving or closing. How were we so profitable prior to NAFTA and now our whole country is in jeapordy? Put the blame where the core of the problem is and stop blaming the branches!

it is one thing our children have to go thru this crisis but to put them out on the street instead of in school what kind of parent would do that. I am sorry the man in Arizona is going thru this we all just might at some time but he should not put his children out there.

I read today on the net that the Feds will buy mortgage related assets, does that mean they are finally going to bail out the american taxpayer or is that some song and dance that Bush is very good at doing.
